What Does the Koran Say?

Muhammad/Koran
urges Muslims to fight:
1. "O
Prophet Muhammad, urge the believers [Muslims] to fight." Sural Al-Anfal 8:65.
2. "Jihad
[holy war] is ordained for you."
3. "O you who believe [Muslims], do not take Jews or Christians
for your friends and
protectors." Sural
Al-Maidah 5:51.
4. "Fight
against those who do not believe in Allah [that would be Jews and Christians,
among others]...... [unless]
they pay the Jizya [special high tax to be paid by Jews and/or Christians who will not renounce
their faith] with willing submission and feel themselves subdued."
¨ The Koran
commands Muslims to fight non-Muslims until they are exterminated, and Islam is
the only religion in the world.
"Fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief
in Allah; worship of any other than Allah] and all worship is for Allah
[alone]..."
¨ The Koran
declares that Muslims who fight and die in battle are promised forgiveness and
eternal life of sensual luxury in paradise.
1. "And if
you are killed or die in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are
far
better than all
that they amass [of worldly wealth]."
Sural Al-Imram 3:157.
2. "Truly,
Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties... theirs
shall be paradise. They
fight in Allah's cause, so they kill and are killed...."

"Eat and drink with happiness because of what you used to do. They
will recline on thrones… We shall marry them to Hur [fair females] with wide
lovely eyes. And we shall provide them with fruit and meat such as they desire."

"... reclining on couches.... women of special
creation and made virgins of equal
age..."
5.
" Gardens and vineyards and young full-breasted virgins of equal
age and a full cup of wine."
¨ The Koran commands
Muslims to terrorize, torture, and kill anyone who disobeys Allah and the
prophet Muhammad.
1.
"I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved,
so strike them over the necks and smite over all their fingers and toes. This is because they defied and disobeyed Allah
and his messenger [Muhammad]. Whoever
defies and disobeys Allah and his messenger, them truly, Allah is severe in
punishment. This is the [torment], so
taste it; for the disbelievers is the torment of the fire."

"The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and his
messenger [Muhammad] and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be
killed or crucified, or their hands and feet cut off from opposite sides, or be
exiled from the land. That is their
disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the
hereafter."

"Truly, Allah loves those who fight in his cause in rows as if they
were solid structures."
4.
"Kill the mushrikum [non-Muslims] wherever you find them, capture
them, besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush. If they repent and perform As-salat [public
prayers with Muslims] and give Zakat [Muslim alms], then leave their way free.
Allah is oft-forgiving, most merciful."
¨ Muslims may
not repent and turn to any other religion, on pain of death.
"But if they turn back [from Islam] take them
and kill them wherever you find them, and take neither Aouliya [protectors,
friends] nor helpers from them."
With this doctrine of the sword, Islam "conquered the world" from Constantinople through the Middle East, North Africa and Spain from about 600 AD to 750 AD, an area larger than Rome at its height. Muslims now control about 1,000,000,000 adherents.
